Аннотация: В «Деяниях божественного Августа» принцепс намеренно не называет прямо своих политических оппонентов: Антония, Брута и Кассия, Лепида, Секста Помпея и других. Такая тактика объясняется его желанием дистанцироваться от образа участника гражданских войн. Однако, воссоздавая свою политическую биографию, Август вынужден обращаться к событиям, где эти «безымянные» фигуры играли ключевую роль. Противоречие между необходимостью нарратива и практикой damnatio memoriae порождает особый описательный язык памятника, который до сих пор почти не становился предметом специального изучения. В статье предпринимается попытка выявить и систематизировать литературные приемы, лежащие в основе языка damnatio memoriae.
